MN Trauma Project is committed to creating community wide events to increase the awareness of trauma in the broader community and to create forums where discussion can take place and connection is made possible around the impact of trauma and how people heal.

Our focus for the evening will be looking at reclaiming a realistic Hope, shifting our language from one driven and determined by trauma and rage to one of peace, compassion, and a sense of shared humanity. We will discuss trauma and rage in a way that will increase our empathy, understanding, purpose, and ability to wage peace.

Unresolved trauma causes suffering for people and communities through mental health issues, addiction, poverty, crime, violence and lack of educational performance. This event explores how acknowledging trauma at multiple levels—individual, relational and systemic—can start the healing process for individuals and society.
